Description:
The program was inaugurated in 1430 AH with the study plan (A), then it was developed to plan (B), and work is underway to develop it to plan (C). The program received NCAAA programmatic academic accreditation in 1446 AH. The program is targeting NAAB international accreditation. Over the years, the program has graduated more than 300 distinguished architects who have had a clear and visible impact on the development of the architecture and construction sector in the Kingdom.

Admission Requirements: Pass the College Test (60% Weighted and 40% College Test) Transfer Requirements: 1. Studying at least 9 hours. 2. A cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 out of 5. 3. The differentiation mechanism will be 20% GPA, 40% weighted and 40% overall test.

Program goals :
1- Providing distinguished academic programs in architecture and its sciences in accordance with quality standards, academic accreditation, and market needs.
2- Providing students with the basic aspects of architecture and its sciences, preparing them for professional practice.
3- Preparing students for postgraduate studies and scientific research in the field of architecture and its various sciences.
4- Providing a suitable environment for students to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to identify social, environmental, cultural and urban needs related to architecture and urbanism.
Program learning outcomes :
I: Knowledge and understanding:
1- Recognize the principles of design, its concerns, and the technical and environmental aspects of architecture and the built environment. (Principles of Architecture and Design Issues).
2- Consider the range of needs, values, and contexts influencing the development of theoretical architecture, as well as the influence of history, social context, context of place, environment, time, and technology. (Philosophy of Architecture).
3- Recognize the need for lifelong architectural learning, investigations, data collection, and research methodology. (Continuous self-development).
II: Skills:
1- Apply basic architectural design skills that rely on problem solving and critical thinking in the field of architectural design. (Basic Design).
2) Integrate investigation and design processes that identify architectural design issues, highlight the theoretical aspects of architecture, develop evaluation criteria, plan and evaluate the project, and synthesize, analyze, and evaluate solutions. (Analysis and Design Process).
3) Design buildings based on well-integrated systems, theoretical, economic, environmental, and constructability concepts. (Design product).
4- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively using oral, written, graphic and visual forms, and computer-aided design (CAD) skills in architectural practice. (Communication).
III: Values, autonomy, and responsibility:
1- Recognize the architect's societal, professional, and ethical responsibilities and values, including his/her diverse role and relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders. (Professional Responsibility).
2- Building leadership skills at multiple levels through collaboration and working in multidisciplinary teams. (Teamwork).

Career opportunities:
After passing the academic stage, students receive a bachelor's degree in architecture. The student graduates from the Department of Architecture as an architect who can work through the following jobs:
1- Relevant government agencies, ministries, and public bodies, such as the Ministry of Housing, Municipalities, the General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities, and others.
2- Projects and maintenance departments in all government sector organizations and departments.
3- Consulting engineering offices and companies working in the field of building and construction.
4- Real estate development companies.
5- Universities, especially faculties of architecture, planning, environmental design, research centers, and others.
6- Fields related to specialized and relevant studies and research, in addition to his ability to complete his academic studies in the field of architecture and its sciences.
