Fundamentals and techniques of mannequin molding

Course Description: The course (DESI512), which is taught at the second level of the Master of Fashion Design program with 2 credit hours per week, deals with the place of the mannequin forming method between the methods of preparing patrons, methods of producing garments, how to finish and finish, and the techniques used in the forming method, including: Drapes, pleats, ribbons and special fabrics, as well as techniques for forming sleeves, cuffs, knots, knots, flounces, and training on techniques for implementing each of the corners (corners), zippers, saddles used in the forming technique, fabrics of a special nature (embroidered fabrics - lace and lace - stretch fabrics - squares), with the formation of complex designs that require special skill with the use of modern technologies to assist in the forming technique on the mannequin.

This course aims to study the position of the draping method among the methods of pattern making and garment production, the techniques used in the draping method on the mannequin and training on their implementation, as well as draping complex designs on the mannequin using different materials and finishing them in haute couture style.
