Course Description: The Occasion Wear Fashion Design course (DESI514), taught in the third year of the Fashion Design Master's program with 2 credit hours per week, covers fashion design for various occasions and the historical design of political, social, and entertainment occasion wear. It delves into the artistic principles of women's fashion shows, in-store women's fashion displays, and online women's fashion displays. The course includes practical training in sketching designs suitable for women for wedding, engagement, and tea party occasions. It also covers preparing a designer portfolio and staging women's and children's wear displays within retail stores (creating a model retail store).
