Course Description: The course Textile Examination and Testing (DESI528), offered in the second level of the Master of Fashion Design program with 3 credit hours, covers the general reasons for conducting textile tests, tools and elements of textile testing, and a study of some tests (yarn strength and elongation, dimensional stability, fabric performance tests, fabric comfort properties, color fastness, and fabric appearance tests).

The course aims to identify the general reasons and methods for textile testing, as well as the tools and elements of textile testing, with the application of some tests for yarns and fabrics.
