Course Description: To understand what is meant by contemporary jurisprudential issues in medical jurisprudence, how they are framed, and how to research their ruling in light of Islamic jurisprudential rules.

Objectives of the course :

– Introduce the student to contemporary jurisprudential issues in medical jurisprudence.
To equip the student with the skill of jurisprudential derivation for contemporary issues in medical jurisprudence, and how to frame them and seek their ruling in light of Islamic legal principles.
Deriving contemporary issues from the principles of jurisprudential schools of thought.
Weighing the different scholarly opinions on jurisprudential matters where there is disagreement.

To explain the jurisprudential rulings on contemporary issues in medical jurisprudence.
Skills:
1. To portray contemporary jurisprudential issues and events as they are in medical jurisprudence.
2. To apply jurisprudential rulings to contemporary issues and events in medical jurisprudence.
3. To derive legal rulings (fatwas) on contemporary medical issues and crises within the framework of medical jurisprudence.
