The University, represented by the Deanship of Scientific Research, is holding two scientific research training programs: "Promising Program" and "Worthy Program," on Monday and Tuesday, 3-4/1/1441 AH. A number of speakers will participate. These programs, organized by the Research Center for Sharia and Linguistic Sciences, are held during the first week of the first semester of each academic year. They target faculty members at the assistant professor level (male and female), as well as teaching assistants and postgraduate students.
The first program, "Promising," is a training program that qualifies and prepares new faculty members in scientific research for the stage they have transitioned to as assistant professors. The program also informs new faculty members about the requirements for academic promotion and scientific publication conditions. This program aims to enhance the faculty member's efficiency in the research field, develop their performance, and raise their skill proficiency in research and the selection of scientific topics. Additionally, it introduces the procedures related to publication and peer review standards in accredited publication outlets. During the program, faculty members also learn about the services the university offers in the field of scientific research.
The "Wa'ed" program includes workshops on (Promotion Research: Between Reality and Aspirations), courses on the skill of writing promotion research, and scientific promotion between the academic system and the mechanism of publishing in scientific journals. It targets faculty members with the rank of Assistant Professor from the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies and the College of Arabic Language – both male and female.
While the second program, "Jadwah," works to provide postgraduate students with the necessary research skills, and raise awareness of the needs of the upcoming new research phase, with the aim of teaching them scientific research methods, and informing them of the latest of these methods, and learning the methods of writing scientific theses and their requirements, and mastering them, and achieving skill in ways of searching for information and dealing with it scientifically, as well as the best ways to process it, and introducing the scientific and systematic mechanisms for registering the thesis, as well as informing the student of the research services provided by universities and research centers to benefit from them.
The program includes workshops on (Academic Thesis Problems: From Topic Selection to Discussion), as well as training courses on the skill of selecting a thesis topic and the mechanism for constructing a thesis plan. The program targets teaching assistants and graduate students at the Master's and Doctoral levels in the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies and the College of Arabic Language.
