Organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs UQU students celebrate National Day as part of the "Hemma to the Top" events

Yesterday, Wednesday, 26/1/1441 AH, the university, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, Female Section, celebrated the 89th National Day commemorating the founding of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This event was part of the university's "Our Ambition Reaches the Summit" activities held for the occasion. The celebration took place at the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies in Buraydah city, with the participation of approximately 850 female students and the attendance of several deans and vice-deans from the university's colleges.

The celebration included a number of events, along with the exchange of congratulations and blessings on this cherished occasion for the sons and daughters of the Saudi people. The celebration was also accompanied by an exhibition in love of the homeland, in which university female students participated with national identity through live drawings, artistic paintings, handicrafts, poetry recitations, and visual presentations. Additionally, orphaned children participated with National Day drawings, and souvenir gifts were presented to them.

For her part, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Amal Al-Rebeish, explained that the ceremony included a visual presentation about the founding of the Kingdom since its unification, and an exhibition featuring multiple sections with student participation. Students presented art pieces, handicrafts, live drawing, and poetry readings, in addition to a segment involving children from the Abnaa Association. She noted that the Vice Dean's office had set up a special corner where students expressed their feelings and support for the soldiers stationed on the southern border through words and fingerprints. Visitors flocked to the exhibition from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students also recited poems and delivered speeches expressing love for the homeland and strengthening national unity.

She added that this dear occasion calls for remembering God's blessings upon this blessed country, reinforcing loyalty to the King and belonging to the homeland, and cultivating national values. During this time, we recall the achievements of the Kingdom, starting with King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud – may God have mercy on him – and the kings after him. Al-Rubaish also expressed her gratitude to the attendees, including students and faculty members, asking God to protect this nation and to protect the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for the attention they give to the people and the nation, and to protect this country and its people from all harm, and to grant everyone the blessing of security and safety.
