His Excellency the President of Qassim University, Professor Dr. Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al-Hamoudi, inaugurated the new expansion building for the College of Designs and Home Economics in Buraidah City, in the presence of the university's vice presidents, the Director of Projects and Maintenance Department, Engineer Sulaiman bin Saleh Al-Furaidi, and a number of university staff, the day before yesterday at the college headquarters.
His Excellency also inaugurated the college's three exhibitions (Nutrition and Food Sciences – Fashion Design – Fine Arts), which included student work in these fields.
His Excellency inspected the contents of the new building and the distinguished exhibitions, noting that these new buildings embody the unlimited support by the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, and His Royal Highness the Second Crown Prince for the journey of higher education in general and for girls' colleges in particular. He pointed out that the university is making great efforts to achieve the aspirations of the state leaders in establishing and developing the study environment in girls' colleges.
His Excellency praised the creativity of the college's female students and faculty members, noting that the College of Designs is a bright face for the university through the creativity of its students and their brilliance in various forums and exhibitions, led by the International Conference for Higher Education Students. He affirmed that what he witnessed reflects the brilliance and capability of the university's female students to create and soar in its realms. He expressed his sincere thanks to the Dean of the College, Dr. Fatima bint Mohammed Al-Furaihi, her fellow vice deans, faculty members, and staff for the positive role they play in serving the students. .
