The university, represented by the Leadership and Capabilities Development Center, concluded its remote orientation program for new faculty members on Thursday, January 8, 1442 AH. The two-day program benefited 77 faculty members, 46 men and 31 women. The program was conducted via the Blackboard platform with the aim of familiarizing new faculty members with their roles and responsibilities, and how to utilize all university resources and capabilities that assist them in providing the best methods in the educational and research process, community service, and professional development.
The program also included a visual presentation about the university to highlight its most important achievements and to introduce the center's diverse programs. Additionally, the Deanship of Human Resources presented a number of important matters beneficial to new faculty members at the university. Moreover, the Deanship of Scientific Research presented a session on scientific research, its mechanisms, and methods. Furthermore, the Deanship of Development and Quality presented a session on the university's quality and accreditation standards.
For its part, the University Science Council on the second day of the program provided clarification on procedures and regulations. The Deanship of Library Affairs presented a segment on how to utilize the library and search engines, in addition to a visual presentation on Blackboard by the Deanship of E-Learning. Meanwhile, the College of Sharia, represented by the Systems Department, presented a segment on legal culture.
The University's Leadership and Capacity Development Center contributes to achieving the university's vision and implementing its mission and goals within the framework of its established values, by implementing such programs that are derived from the actual needs of university employees. This also supports the efforts of its affiliates, enriches their capabilities, and improves their performance, based on a knowledge base derived from scientific and technological advancements and the growing accumulation of knowledge in all fields.
