The Presidency of State Security and the University crowned the first batch of postgraduate “Master's” students, who are inmates of the prison, on Wednesday evening, November 12, 2025, in the presence of His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharikh, His Excellency the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Fahd bin Suleiman Al-Ahmad, a number of heads of security sectors in the region, deans of the relevant colleges, and relatives of the graduates at the headquarters of the General Investigations Prison Administration in the city of Buraidah.
The first cohort included 45 graduating master's students from prison inmates in three specializations: 15 graduates from Master of Sociology and Social Work, 15 graduates from Master of Business Administration, and 15 graduates from the Master of Systems department.
The graduation ceremony included a film showcasing the university's efforts in offering professional diploma and master's degree programs, as well as the experience of in-person education within prisons.
This initiative comes as part of the university's efforts, and the State Security Presidency, represented by the General Investigations Prison in the city of Buraidah, to rehabilitate and develop inmates in the investigations prisons by providing in-person university education services at various academic levels.
