His Excellency the Minister of Education, Yusuf bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, honored Qassim University in recognition of its effective efforts in achieving the goals of volunteer work within the education and training system, and for its success in institutionalizing volunteer work in accordance with the national standard “Idamah”. The honor was received by His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharikh, in the presence of education and volunteer work leaders, during the Volunteer Day Forum at the Ministry's headquarters in Riyadh.
Qassim University ranked among the top three universities in achieving its goals, a culmination of its institutional efforts and qualitative practices in supporting and enabling volunteer work, expanding community partnerships, and its effective contributions in spreading the culture of volunteering and strengthening the values of giving and social responsibility among its staff and students, and integrating volunteer work within curricula and extracurricular activities. These efforts have contributed to providing thousands of volunteer opportunities and approximately 1.4 million volunteer hours this year in various fields, achieving a tangible economic impact, supporting sustainable development efforts, and actively contributing to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
It is mentioned that Qassim University was awarded the National Volunteering Award 2025 at the level of educational institutions in the Kingdom, in recognition of its outstanding initiatives in this field.
