The university, represented by the Optometry Department at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, signed a memorandum of cooperation today, Monday, February 16, 2026, with Innovative Lenses Company Limited (EYEWA). The aim is to strengthen cooperation and partnership between the two parties in the fields of education, training, employment, research, and community service, in the presence of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Fahad bin Sulaiman Al-Ahmad.
The university was represented in signing this memorandum by the Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Dr. Saleh bin Abdul Rahman Al-Matroudi, while the company was represented by Dr. Ahmed Yousef Al-Juhani.
Cooperation areas include theoretical, practical, and clinical training for students within the specialized programs offered, collaboration in developing curricula and study plans in accordance with academic objectives and the job market, in addition to supporting college graduates by providing job opportunities that align with the company's operational needs and required qualifications.
Areas of cooperation also include contributing to research and innovation, exchanging expertise and information, developing technology and systems, as well as contributing to community awareness and events in partnership with the college and the student club.
This memorandum comes within the framework of the university's efforts to provide research, training, and community service in all fields and specializations, to focus on academic and professional human resource development, and to cooperate with relevant local and international bodies in various fields to enrich the educational process and provide optimal services to the community.
