Qassim University signs a cooperation agreement with the General Authority for Military Industries

Qassim University signed a cooperation agreement with the General Authority for Military Industries on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, to enhance cooperation between them. The agreement was signed by the Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Walid bin Saleh Al-Bat'ah, and the Deputy Governor of the Authority for Business Support Sector, Mr. Emad bin Abdullah Al-Luhaydan, at the Authority's headquarters in Riyadh.

The signing of the cooperation agreement comes as an extension of the Authority's efforts to support the localization of more than 50% of military spending by 2030, by building qualitative partnerships, holding specialized training and educational programs, and enhancing integrated work with all success partners from the government, private, and academic sectors, to ensure the achievement of the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, and contribute to developing and refining the necessary skills to work in the military industries sector.

Under the cooperation agreement, the Authority and the University will work to enhance cooperation between the two parties through strategic collaboration that focuses on supporting and developing the research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer ecosystem, and developing human capital through a set of development and training programs. This includes adopting emerging technologies, applying artificial intelligence methodologies, and developing joint research and innovation projects that contribute to improving services, supporting decision-making, and enhancing institutional efficiency to serve the objectives of both parties.

Areas of cooperation include research and development and innovation, human capital development and qualification, as well as cooperative and vocational training, in addition to aligning education with the labor market, technology transfer and localization, joint events, and open future cooperation between the two parties.
