The university president inaugurates the 8th Engineering Scientific Forum under the slogan «Engineering Quality of Life.»

His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharaikh, inaugurated the 8th Scientific Engineering Forum on Thursday, May 7, 2026. The forum, organized by the College of Engineering under the slogan «Engineering for Quality of Life,» was held in the main lobby of the University City, in the presence of the University Vice Presidents.

During the opening, the university president highlighted the importance of the forum in supporting the scientific and research movement, and strengthening their role in providing innovative engineering solutions that contribute to improving the quality of life. He affirmed the university's commitment to providing a stimulating environment for creativity and innovation, and linking educational outcomes with the needs of the labor market.

On his part, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Fahd Al-Sunaidih, explained that the forum aims to showcase the students' scientific and skill-based outputs that align with Saudi Vision 2030, highlight their research and practical capabilities in various engineering disciplines, enhance their connection with the job market and professional entities, foster a culture of innovation and research competitiveness, and provide a space for interaction between students, alumni, faculty members, and participating entities.

The forum includes an accompanying exhibition, workshops, dialogue and professional sessions, in addition to various scientific presentations and participations, with the involvement of 22 entities, 3 special corners for the College of Engineering, and 33 student corners, covering projects for the bachelor's and master's levels, applied research presentations, engineering competitions, and hackathons, in addition to short presentations and knowledge programs related to innovation and quality of life.
