Qassim University obtained a patent certificate from the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property for an invention of a serial robot that can be operated by electromagnetic energy instead of the usual methods of robot operation, and can be used in a number of industrial fields and robot applications.<\/strong><\/span>

 <\/strong><\/span><\/p>

The robot's parts consist of a number of segments with a set of electromagnets arranged alternately with springs that provide a state of force balance between these segments, offering various forms of dynamic motion and freedom for the robot cumulatively. This motion is powered electromagnetically, enhancing its potential for use in industrial, medical, and other diverse robotic applications.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

The research team that obtained the patent included Dr. Fahd bin Nasser Al-Sunaydeh, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Amer Al-Rumaih, Dr. Khalid bin Ali Al-Hasson, Dr. Fahd bin Nasser Al-Sulaim, Dr. Shaaban Abdelradi Mahmoud, and Dr. Omar Hazem Salim.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

This innovation comes within the \u201cUniversity Staff Patent Registration Project,\u201d which aims to transform inventions and research ideas into protected products with economic returns, and to contribute to raising the university's local and international ranking in patent registration.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/p>
