Vision and Future\" program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p><strong>His Excellency the President of Qassim University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharikh, sponsored yesterday, Monday, September 1, 2025, the \u00abAmbition... Vision and Future\u00bb program, to prepare new students and introduce them to academic regulations and student activities. The ceremony was attended by Their Excellencies the Vice Presidents and members of the University Council at the main campus in the university city.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>His Excellency the University President welcomed the new students during his speech at the program's opening ceremony, congratulating them on their admission to the university. He emphasized that this is the fruit of their efforts and their families' support, asking God to grant them success and excellence so they can be ambassadors for their homeland and their university.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>The university president conveyed a number of messages urging them to be diligent and strive for excellent grades, to adhere to national identity and wear the Saudi national dress on university campuses and at its events, as well as to take advantage of all the programs and activities the university offers to develop their personal and practical skills, noting that the university provides an integrated environment to support students and guide them in building a balanced personality and advanced skills.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>His Excellency the President of the University also opened the accompanying exhibition of the program, which will continue for three days in the main foyer. The exhibition includes 35 booths featuring national artworks of the wise leadership, may God protect them, information on university regulations and systems, an introduction to student programs and activities, sources of support and knowledge, awareness of available technical and educational services and how to utilize them from the beginning of their studies, an overview of various university student services, a display of some student achievements, and visual presentations of different student activities.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>The program also featured an open session with His Excellency Dr. Fahd bin Suleiman Al-Ahmad, Vice President of the University for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Abu Al-Haj, Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Ajlan, Dean of Student Affairs, and Dr. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Arini, CEO of the Applied College. The session addressed the university's study system and its differences from high school, study plans, the study and examination regulations, academic advising services, academic evaluation and its importance in handling academic matters and avoiding problems, the automation of admission and registration services, the mechanism for transferring between departments and colleges, and the cumulative GPA and its calculation.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>The meeting also included an introduction to the Applied College, its campuses, and branches. It covered how the Applied College helps students acquire the practical skills necessary for the job market. Additionally, it discussed the Deanship of Student Affairs services and student services. The session explained how students can benefit from extracurricular activities to enhance their university experience, introduced student and specialized clubs, the entrepreneurship and excellence platform, the importance of the skills portfolio, student training, and advice for new students.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>The program included a session with several specialists from the Deanship of Admissions and Registration, the Deanship of Student Affairs, and the Deanship of Information Technology and E-learning.
