{"id":47588,"date":"2025-10-05T18:43:36","date_gmt":"2025-10-05T15:43:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.qu.edu.sa\/?p=47588"},"modified":"2025-10-05T18:43:39","modified_gmt":"2025-10-05T15:43:39","slug":"university-celebrates-world-teachers-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.qu.edu.sa\/en\/news\/47588\/","title":{"rendered":"University celebrates World Teacher's Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Al-Qassim University, represented by the College of Education, held a celebration today, Sunday, October 5, 2025, on the occasion of World Teachers' Day, under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharaikh, and in the presence of Their Excellencies the Vice Presidents of the University and its affiliates, and with the participation of a number of male and female researchers in the educational field, at the King Abdulaziz Conference Center in the university city.<p>His Excellency the University President attended the ceremony held for this occasion and viewed the accompanying exhibition, which included booths featuring research posters on topics related to professional and educational development, in addition to the participation of a number of schools and associations in the region.<\/p><p>For his part, His Excellency the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Fahd bin Suleiman Al-Ahmad, affirmed in the university's speech at the celebration that our wise leadership, headed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman - may God protect them - gives great care and attention to teachers and education. This has had an impact on supporting teachers, developing their skills, modernizing educational infrastructure, launching community educational initiatives, and providing educational and training opportunities for all segments of society. He pointed out that this has enhanced investment in human capital to race against time in achieving the goals of Vision 2030.<\/p><p>He added: The university celebrates the teacher because they are the pivot of the learning process and all its components, and it believes that its role remains ongoing, with commitment and development every year. This honoring is also a contribution from it, along with the education system, to embracing competent teachers, and that this is the path towards the advancement of education and ensuring its effectiveness.<\/p><p>The university's activities included a seminar titled \u00abThe Teacher's Roles in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,\u00bb in addition to scientific papers and a number of training courses. These included curriculum design and teaching models in light of artificial intelligence applications, the teacher's role as a leader of social change and sustainable development, and the classroom teacher's role in collaboration with special education specialists and parents.
