These regulations govern the procedures and controls for scientific contact for faculty members at Qassim University. This leave allows a faculty member to travel to a scientific entity or another university, inside or outside the Kingdom, for a specified period, with the aim of deepening their specific specialization, conducting joint research, or attending specialized training or academic programs. The regulations define the conditions of eligibility and the approved duration for the contact, the nature of the host institution and the conditions for its recognition, and the documents that must be attached to the application, such as the acceptance letter and the contact plan. The regulations also outline the faculty member's obligations during and after the contact period, the requirements for the final contact report for its approval by the Standing Committee for Sabbatical Leave and Scientific Contact, and its consideration in their academic career. The regulations clarify the procedure for submitting the application and the approval stages through the Scientific Council up to the University President or the University Council. They target faculty members in all specializations, college deanships, and the Standing Committee for Sabbatical Leave and Scientific Contact. They are considered part of the faculty development system.
