His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Province, sponsored today the celebration of Al-Qassim University on the occasion of the 95th National Day. The university organized the celebration at the King Abdulaziz Conference Center in the university city, in the presence of His Highness the Deputy Governor, Prince Fahad bin Saud bin Faisal bin Saud, the University President Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharikh, university vice-presidents, college and deanship deans, and university students and staff.

His Highness the Emir of Qassim region praised the National Exhibition for documenting the biography of King Abdulaziz, in addition to the history of the Kingdom, and the university's efforts and its diverse achievements. He affirmed that these efforts reflect the university's leading role in strengthening national identity and consolidating values of belonging and pride in the nation's past and present, and the comprehensive development renaissance it is witnessing under the wise leadership.

His Highness noted the university's qualitative initiatives and programs that contribute to serving the community and enhancing generations' awareness of their glorious national history, pointing out that these efforts complement what various educational and cultural sectors are doing to consolidate the principles of citizenship and deepen belonging, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

During the ceremony, His Highness watched a visual presentation on the university's most prominent achievements, a national operetta, a national poem, in addition to launching the “Proud Nation” initiative, which included a package of programs.
And national activities aimed at strengthening national unity and pride in the homeland and its achievements.

For his part, Al-Sharikh stated that Qassim University fulfills its mission by disseminating knowledge, fostering creativity, and preparing competitive competencies. It plays its role in strengthening Saudi cultural identity and celebrating authentic traits, indicating that the university has achieved — thanks to God — qualitative successes in the fields of education, research, and innovation, and has contributed to serving the community and sustainable development.

The celebration witnessed the opening of the accompanying exhibition “Our Pride in Our Nature” by His Highness the Prince of Al-Qassim Region. The exhibition included a number of pavilions, which covered the history of the unification of the Kingdom, the biography of King Abdulaziz - may God have mercy on him -, and the kings of the Kingdom - may God have mercy on them - up to the prosperous era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister - may God protect them both. In addition to the achievements of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, the diverse achievements of the region, and the university's achievements. The exhibition also included a number of national drawings, student achievements, sculptures, and artistic works.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Highness the Prince of Al-Qassim honored university leaders whose terms of service had ended, in a gesture of gratitude from the university, as well as 57 researchers from Qassim University for being ranked among the world’s 21 most influential scientists in the field of scientific research.
