His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Province, attended the signing of a cooperation agreement between the university, represented by the College of Applied Studies, and the Saudi Ground Services Company. The agreement aims to implement a ground services diploma program and was signed in the presence of His Highness Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Faisal bin Saad, Deputy Governor of the province. Also present were the President of Qassim University, Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Sharaakh, and the CEO of the Saudi Ground Services Company, Mr. Mohammed Mazeh, along with several leaders from both entities.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Arini, CEO of the Applied College at the university, and Mr. Mohammed bin Mazi, representing Saudi Ground Services Company.
His Highness the Prince of Al-Qassim Region blessed the signing of the agreement, noting that it comes within the framework of the university's and the national logistics sector's efforts to enhance effective partnership between educational institutions and the private sector. His Highness emphasized that this step contributes to building and qualifying national competencies in the field of ground services and represents a national model for integration between educational bodies and vital sectors in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
His Highness added: We in the Qassim region are proud of such qualitative initiatives that align with the aspirations of the wise leadership – may God protect it – in empowering youth and qualifying them professionally and practically, and providing them with opportunities for active participation in the development process, which enhances Qassim's position as a developed center for education, qualification, and training.
On this occasion, the President of Qassim University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharikh, extended his highest thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Governor of Qassim region for his kind patronage and continuous support for the university's journey and its educational and developmental initiatives. He affirmed that this agreement represents a model of integration between the university and the private sector, consolidating the university's role in serving the community and preparing qualified cadres.
The CEO of Saudi Ground Services Company, Mr. Mohammed Maze, expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Emir of Al-Qassim region for his continuous support, emphasizing that this strategic partnership with Al-Qassim University embodies the company's national role in developing and qualifying national competencies and equipping them with the necessary skills in the ground services sector, thereby strengthening the Kingdom's leading position in the air transport and logistics services sector.
