University signs agreement with traffic to establish a driving school for women in Qassim

His Excellency Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, signed an agreement to establish a driving school for women at the university with Major General Mohammed Al-Bassami, Director General of Traffic in the Kingdom. This took place on Monday morning, 20 Ramadan 1439 Hijri, in the VIP hall at the university city in Al-Mulaida. The school is expected to open within the next six months.

"Al-Dawad" emphasized that this agreement comes to facilitate driving lessons for the girls of the region and in line with the decision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may God protect him – and the royal order issued on 10/10 of the past Hijri year to allow women to drive. He wished that this school would be among the best schools in the Kingdom and that it would benefit the daughters of the nation, expressing his thanks to the traffic police for their interaction and appreciated efforts.

It is reported that the university's project management has completed its preparations early to receive female students" cars in the university city in "Al-Mulaida," where approximately (5655) parking spaces have been prepared, in addition to many parking spaces in various female student colleges, as part of the university's efforts following the decision to allow women to drive.
