UQU President sponsors "Ambassadors of Vision: Ambassadors of the Vision" and inaugurates the accompanying exhibition

His Excellency the President of Qassim University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharaekh, sponsored the «Vision Ambassadors: Scholarship Students for Building the Future» forum on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. His Excellency also inaugurated the accompanying exhibition, organized by the College of Business and Economics at the university. The forum featured 12 speakers, along with a number of experts, specialists, and entities from within and outside the Kingdom. The event aimed to discuss qualitative developments in scholarship programs, showcase initiatives supporting the qualification of scholarship students, and address the qualitative challenges and opportunities in these programs. The forum was attended by Their Excellencies the Vice Presidents of the University at the University City Conference Center.
During his patronage of the forum, His Excellency the President of the university reviewed the accompanying exhibition. The exhibition featured 10 entities from inside and outside the Kingdom, showcasing future educational pathways and providing support services for scholarship programs and their procedures.
The forum witnessed four scientific sessions, during which speakers in the first and second sessions discussed a number of themes. These included the values of conscious citizenship, the implications of Saudi Vision 2030 for university education, as well as ways to improve the study abroad experience, enhance awareness of scholarship students' rights and responsibilities, and mechanisms for qualifying and empowering them to achieve national development.
In the third and fourth sessions, participants discussed the challenges and opportunities of admission to top global universities, the impact of scholarships on postgraduate programs in the Kingdom, and the journey of Saudi universities in global rankings and their effects. The sessions concluded with an inspiring presentation of «Stories to Tell» from former scholarship students.
For his part, the Dean of the College of Business and Economics and Chairman of the Forum's Organizing Committee, Dr. Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Fahed, spoke about the importance of scholarships, which have been and continue to be vital pathways for shaping the future and a bridge for civilizational communication between the nation and the world, and a journey for transferring and acquiring knowledge. He pointed out that the Kingdom's Vision 2030 has made investing in people and empowering national competencies a main focus in building a sustainable future that enhances the Kingdom's global competitiveness.
Al-Faheed explained that the idea of holding this forum stems from the pivotal role and mission of the university, and under the guidance and follow-up of His Excellency the President of the University, to highlight the qualitative developments in scholarship programs and review the initiatives supporting the qualification of scholarship students. He noted that preparations for the forum continued for two months of planning and teamwork, during which the efforts of multiple work teams were consolidated.
Al-Fahaid pointed out that the accompanying exhibition includes participation from international and local academic admissions offices, offering distinguished services for building future educational paths. He expressed his aspirations through this forum to achieve a number of qualitative outcomes that contribute to supporting the transition towards a knowledge-based economy, developing human capital, enhancing research and innovation, consolidating national identity and values, and improving the sponsorship experience, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
