Memorandum of cooperation between the University and the Saudi Red Crescent to support scientific research and rehabilitation of health personnel

Qassim University and the Saudi Red Crescent Authority signed a joint cooperation memorandum on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, on the sidelines of the World Health Forum 2025 in Riyadh. The memorandum aims to enhance academic, research, and training cooperation between the two parties in the fields of emergency medical services, continuing education, and human resource development.

The memorandum was signed by His Excellency the President of Qassim University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharikh, and His Excellency the President of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, Dr. Jalal bin Mohammed Al-Owaisi.

The memorandum includes strengthening cooperation in the implementation of training, volunteer, and educational programs, developing joint curricula and scientific programs, supporting applied research and studies in health and emergency fields, in addition to exchanging expertise and knowledge, and utilizing the university's facilities, laboratories, and medical labs.

The memorandum also includes training university staff and students on first aid skills and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), providing volunteer opportunities in Red Crescent activities, as well as raising awareness of international humanitarian law and spreading the culture of volunteer and relief work.

The signing of this memorandum comes within the framework of the desire of both parties for integration and cooperation in academic and professional fields, in a way that achieves the goals of health development and contributes to raising the efficiency of medical and humanitarian services in the Kingdom.
