The Innovation Incubator 5 at the university continued its work on its second day, which included mentoring sessions, workshops, and research project evaluations, with the participation of more than 700 male and female participants in 230 teams from various regions of the Kingdom, held in the main lobby of the university city.
The incubator is part of the university's efforts to enhance the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, in partnership with national entities and the private sector, which contributes to linking academic knowledge with market needs. The participation focused on four main areas including human health, energy and industry, environmental sustainability, and the future economy.
The fifth edition saw widespread participation from 27 universities and 51 entities, embodying the integration between various sectors. These entities compete to present ideas and projects that hold promising future opportunities, reflecting the growing national interest in innovation.
The incubator is a national platform that brings together innovators from more than 19 cities across the Kingdom. It contributes to transforming ideas into projects with economic and social value through programs, workshops, and mentoring sessions that support innovation and entrepreneurship, and achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
